See exactly what changed between two versions of anything, without either one leaving your browser.
Nothing in this category converts or reshapes what you paste; both sides are compared exactly as given, and the only output is a description of the difference between them. That makes the comparison itself the whole product, so how each tool decides two things are "the same" matters more here than anywhere else on the site: a plain line-by-line comparison treats an untouched paragraph that got rewrapped, or a JSON object whose keys came back in a different order, as a wall of false changes, which is the single most common complaint about basic diff tools.
Use the Text Diff Checker for prose, config files, logs or source code: it diffs by line by default, highlights the specific word that changed within an edited line, and can diff by word across the whole document when line breaks alone would drown out the actual edits (a rewrapped paragraph shows no difference at all, since only the words are compared, not how they happen to be wrapped). Use the JSON Diff Checker for API responses and config files: it compares by key path rather than by text, so a reordered key or re-indented file never shows as a change, and inserting one item into the middle of an array is reported as one addition, not a false "changed" entry for every item after it.

Compare two JSON documents by key path, so reordering or re-indenting never shows as a false change.
