Privacy Policy

The short version
Text you paste into any tool on PartToolHub is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else. The only data collection on this site comes from standard web-server logs and from the advertising and analytics partners described below.
Data you enter into tools
Our tools are static web pages. When you paste a list, the conversion happens on your device and the result is displayed on the same page. We have no server component that receives, stores or inspects that content. Closing the tab discards it.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records basic request information (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) for security and capacity planning. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not combined with any other data.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be shown a consent message before any personalised advertising cookies are set, and can change their choice at any time.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which tools are used and how often: page views, which tool page was opened, whether a conversion succeeded or failed (as a category such as “invalid JSON”, never the text itself), which options and buttons were pressed (copy, download, clear), the rough size of the input (a bucket such as “under 1,000 characters”), and which internal links were followed. What you type or paste into a tool is never sent: the analytics code is written so that it cannot carry that text, and a test in the codebase enforces it. Analytics runs only on the published site, not while the site is being developed. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. The reports we see are aggregated and cannot identify you. You can prevent collection with the Google Analytics opt-out add-onor any content blocker; the tools work identically either way.
Cookies and browser storage
PartToolHub itself sets no cookies. It uses your browser's storage only for conveniences, all of which stay on your device and are never sent anywhere: the light/dark theme and the colour scheme you pick in the header; the tools you star as favourites and the tools you used recently (names only), which the home page and the search box show first; each tool's options, such as indent size, separators or case style, so they are the same next time (never the text you paste or type, and each tool has a "Reset to defaults" link); the side-by-side or unified layout of the diff checker; and, when you press a button that opens another tool with your text or result (such as "Split back to column" or a next-step link under a result), that text and the name of the tool it came from, for the length of that page change. If you use "Copy link with your input" in a tool's Share menu, the text and options are packed into the link itself, after the #, which browsers never send to any server; when the link is opened, the page moves them out of the address bar before any analytics or advertising code runs, so they are not reported in page addresses. Anyone you give such a link to can read what it contains. On the maintainer's own devices only, one more flag marks visits as internal so the analytics figures leave them out. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it. Third-party cookies may be set by the advertising and analytics services above. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings; the tools on this site continue to work with cookies disabled.
